Household appliances, vehicles, and both functional and recreational technologies such as laptops, mobile phones, tablets, and music players are among the useful innovations that introduce simpler and more convenient ways of getting things done. With these new inventions people are able to enjoy and make life easier and more comfortable. However, inventors continuous to seek and still create new products that have not been addressed yet by currently existing technologies.
Before, people develop more industrial process rather than recreational pursuits and that’s when they conduct ways for manual labor to be productive and cost effective. Rudimentary conveyor technology has been invented for farmers. Because they usually work hard on the field using only their plough animals and now this has been created to help them transport crops from the fields and load them onto ships for trading and export to other countries.
The innovation of the simple conveyor systems to transport and load sacks of grains or carry coal, ores, and other heavy mining products has started during the 19th century. A Swedish engineering company Sandvik utilizes steel conveyor belts and revolutionized the mining industry in 1905. Henry Ford introduces conveyor belt assembly lines during 1913 in Highland Park, Michigan factory for Ford Motor Company. And in 1957, B.F. Goodrich Company patented a high quality conveyor belt which has a longer life and also withstands heavy loads and friction to prevent wear and tear.
From that time, the conveyor belt has been used widely in different industrial applications. Transporting large items, processing and packaging of all sorts of products throughout a processing facility was been done accordingly through the help of the overhead conveyor and more conventional belt conveyors. Conveyor technology systems relied upon for processing and without risk of the system being interrupted or inhibited by human intervention or risk of contamination or failing to meet the quality standards.
Nowadays, you can see conveyor belts in many places such as airport baggage carousels, treadmills in the gym, or on checkout counter in grocery stores. People have developed a highly functional technology due to the need for efficiency and convenience in modern day activities.
